The quality of our personal relationships makes a difference. They can affect our focus, our time, our energy. 

It pays to get your relationships locked in. If you’re working 100 hours a week, and your relationships are suffering, it’s going to impact your business in the long term. Maybe it doesn’t seem like it at first. But it will.

Who do you surround yourself with? 

If you have a partner, how are things going? Are you neglecting that core relationship too much for the sake of your business? It might not seem like a big deal in the short term, but trust me. It matters. You don’t want to sacrifice key relationships and people in your life just to bring in an extra client or two. To make a quick buck. 

Or maybe you have kids. How many sports games are you missing? Are you staying involved as much as you should? 

The key to happiness and success is being balanced. Balance, balance, balance. If your relationships—whether friends or family—are out of balance, it will affect your business eventually. 

And what about your social life? Yeah, sometimes we all need to closet ourselves away while we grind on our businesses. But other times the only way to move our business forward is to make connections and focus on our social lives.
